Dear Nan: The Early Years of Married Life + The Creation of Home
Life in the 50s and the Narrabeen house
Dear Nan,
One of my favourite things to do when I would come to visit you was listen to you talk about when you and Grandpa first met, and the stories about after you were married, and those early years of living in the Narrabeen house. That house, for all of us, held so many beautiful memories. So many firsts - first married, first babies, first loss, first grand children, first puppies! I’m sure I asked you the same old questions, over and over again, but there was something in the way you told those stories that lit you up, and seeing that spark in you lit one within me too. I suspect, that whatever spark I have now around family and home, is thanks to you and your stories and your life, and of course, your love.
