I
I've been thinking about you today. About the stories you've been carrying around, the ones that surface when you're making dinner or in the garden. The memories that make you pause and smile, or sometimes, shed a tear.
Maybe it's the way your dad hummed while he shaved on Sunday mornings. Or how your kitchen felt when everyone was home for the Christmas. Those moments that shaped you, seasons that changed you, little details that haven't been spoken out loud in years.
And maybe you've been wondering...
Is now the right time to start writing them down? Do these everyday stories really matter? Can I do this without it feeling overwhelming?
Here's what I know: there's rarely a perfect moment to begin. But there does come a day when you realise, "If I don't start gathering these stories now, I might lose them." And that realisation? It matters more than perfect timing ever could.
That's exactly what Little Life Stories is for. Not to rush you into writing a memoir or create something you'll feel pressured to share. Just a warm, gentle space where your memories can unfold naturally—no performance required, no perfectionism allowed.
I know it might feel daunting. The idea of putting your life into words, of figuring out what matters most. But what if we approached it differently? What if we started with just one small memory, one tiny story that's been waiting patiently in your heart?
The truth is, your stories—the ordinary, beautiful, messy, real ones—they're already perfect just as they are. They don't need fixing or polishing. They just need someone who believes they matter. And I do.
Tonight, the doors close on this round of Little Life Stories. This is also the last time I'll be offering the introductory pricing for 2025—there'll be an increase when enrollment opens again. But more than that, it's the last chance for a while to step into this gentle process of honoring your stories before more time passes, before more memories drift quietly into the background.
If you've been feeling that gentle tug, that whisper saying "maybe it's time," I'd love to walk this path with you. Your stories are waiting, and honestly? So am I. Excitedly too;)
Have a lovely week!
If you do happen to be new here, hi there! I'm Kim, and I love to share stories of home and childhood, and the moments that connect me with the people and places I love so much. I have a passion for encouraging you to write your own life stories down too and I have a new offering to help women do just that: Little Life Stories.
I also love the good old-fashioned art of letter writing, in particular, and of course, all things stationery. I have a gorgeous letter writing group for women, called: The Lovely Letters Project.
I write about the connection between my precious Nan and I, in a letter bundle here: Dear Nan.
I share all of these things over on Instagram, Pinterest and my website.
It’s really lovely to meet you!
